Thank you all for your support of home learning, we know it’s not easy but we want you to know that we appreciate your efforts.
We are trying to streamline our procedures and make sure that teachers see engagement each day, from every child.
The recording of you child’s attendance/engagement in learning is now based on two things:
- the check-ins, prior to 11.00am, each day AND
- the return of school work OR attendance on class Zooms.
It is important that if you have any problems accessing the work, the Zooms or Dojo, that you let us know. Be aware, that once the live lessons have started the teachers are unable to troubleshoot login problems; this will need to be done at a later time.
Students will need to log into the Zoom classes with their own school accounts, following the instructions that were included in the Zoom Protocol document posted on Dojo Class Story, on 30 August and can be accessed here: ZOOM PROTOCOLS NOTE
If you are uploading work onto your child’s Dojo portfolio, you do NOT need to return the pack; however, if you have not uploaded work on Dojo, you MUST return your pack for marking (even if you haven’t completed all the work). The uploading of the work can be done at any point through the day, so it’s ok if it pops up in the afternoon.
Please note that we must mark students as absent if we do not see engagement or completed work. Attendance data is monitored and you may receive a call from the Home School Liaison Officer if attendance is poor. Please remember to keep us informed of any changes, especially contact details and please reach out if you need help.
