As we approach the end of year, children do start to tire and routines get loose. It is however very important to encourage children to complete homework and to continue such activities right through the summer break.

It is hard to compete with screen based activities and whilst some of these activities such as coding and minecraft are very beneficial, it is important to set boundaries around the amount of time children spend on devices.

Please note that 10 minutes of homework would be a minimum and older students could be spending around 30 minutes a day on the suggested tasks. The only task on the grid that should happen every day is reading. This is also a good non-screen based activity which can help kids wind down before bed.
