Dear Parents and Carers,

As you would be aware, yesterday the Premier confirmed that Greater Sydney will continue with Level 4 restrictions, with learning at home, until at least 30 July.

We thank you for your support and contribution to supervise your child’s learning at home. This assists us to keep our community safe and to minimise staff onsite in line with the Department of Education and NSW Health advice. It also supports our staff with children, also learning from home, or vulnerable family members.

Staff, as well as checking in with you and your child online, are monitoring their learning and then planning for future weeks. We are also supporting a very small number of children whose parents are essential workers. Under NSW Health advice, together, we are minimising the movement and gathering of people everywhere, including in schools. We are all conscious that this current variant is very contagious across all ages groups.

As we approach the second week of Learning from Home, we thank you for your positivity and support. We have tried very hard to keep the learning from home work easy for parents. Please do not worry if you don’t understand a task, just reach out to the class teacher through Class Dojo. Please also note that your child is not meant to be sitting down doing work for 6 hours from 9-3. As a general guide for the length of time your child to be learning please visit – https://education.nsw.gov.au/teaching-and-learning/learning-from-home/learning-at-home/advice-to-parents-and-carers/sample-timetables.html. It is ok to work around your own work commitments, which might mean that you start earlier and finish earlier or start later and finish later.

From 10am on Monday, learning packs for Week 2 will be available for pick up from the hall. We are also working hard to meet the needs of our families in regards to technology, internet and food and hope to have this all ready too. If you haven’t already completed the survey (https://forms.gle/fRYSm6wv5pPybXCY8) or let us know by phone, please just give us a call on 93112210.

Stay home and safe,
